In January, the Belov Group held an internal training session for the renewal of the Emergency Brigade. The activities took place at the Mapele Maritime Yard - CMM, located in Aratu Bay, in Simões Filho - Bahia/Brazil. 35 firefighters went through practical and theoretical first aid and firefighting courses, during three days of intense activities.
This Emergency Brigade ensures the safety of activities throughout the year, in addition to having a multidisciplinary profile, which sets it apart from other conventional brigades. Not only acting in triggered cases, scheduled simulations and in the monitoring of equipment and environmental issues, it is its function to act preventively by carrying out sieges with containment barriers on vessels for maritime operations involving the supply of fuel oils, possible oil spills on land and sea, and in the rescue and handling of wild fauna with the aim of preventing the risk of attacks on professionals and the local community, and guaranteeing the integrity of the animals.
