The short film "Belov: A Life at Sea" was awarded at the ONA Short Film, an international festival that awards short films from around the world. Inspired by the life of the Ukrainian engineer, diver, and sailor based in Bahia, Aleixo Belov, the film shows excerpts of his voyages aboard the Fraternidade sailboat.
The short film is the only Brazilian representative to compete in the 2024 edition of the Festival, held in Venice, Italy. The film received the CAI Award – best film – and Best Adventure awards. The short film was the biggest winner of the night and was represented by Tiago Abakukir, director, and the manager of the Aleixo Belov Sea Museum and the Aleixo Belov Foundation, Larissa Nabuco.
For the Belov Group, it is a great honor to see the history and achievements of its founder gaining more and more recognition.
